Our Favorite Spots at 4244 Madison Avenue complex, a short drive from this neighborhood
J Bagels has the BEST lox bagel I’ve ever had. They also have amazing salads and a wide variety of tea and coffee, but their specialty is definitely bagels.
Also located in this complex is Pure Poetry, a home goods store. If you love shopping local, finding curated gifts, or attending events like Sip ‘n Paints, you have to check out Pure Poetry.
Sitting Duck has the best beef tips and chicken alfredo, hands down! They also have outdoor seating and a location in Stratford and Oxford.
I’ve only ever heard good things about Romanacci, an Italian restaurant offering pasta, salads, pizza, and catering options.
Our Experience Selling Joan Estates
Our team has been fortunate enough to have listed three homes in this neighborhood!
Check out our current listing at 7 Lafayette Drive! The classic Colonial facade sets the tone for a thoughtfully designed interior offering both flow and function. The foyer is flanked by a sun-drenched formal living room with a dry bar and built-in wine rack, and a spacious family room anchored by a white brick fireplace. At the heart of the home, the updated eat-in kitchen features a breakfast nook, island with seating and storage, pantry wall, stainless steel appliances, double ovens, and glass tile backsplash, with a bay window overlooking the backyard. The dining room easily accommodates both large gatherings and intimate dinners. A cozy four-season room with vaulted ceilings and deck access offers year-round enjoyment. A full bath, laundry area, and garage access complete the first floor. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms and two full baths surrounding a large landing. The primary suite includes double closets and a renovated bath with a glass walk-in shower and marble vanity. 3 additional bedrooms share a well-appointed hall bath. Outside, enjoy a flat backyard with mature trees, a tiered deck, fire pit, shed, and wooded backdrop for added privacy. A three car attached garage completes the home.
Everyone loved the contemporary details at 42 Revere Lane, including the vaulted ceilings, sharp lines, and large windows. We listed it for $799,900 and sold for $835,000 within one week on the market. This sale was in September 2024, so right when Fall market was ramping up.
30 Lafayette Drive was another larger, contemporary home but with traditional details. The two-story foyer caught everyone’s attention, and the light carried throughout the house. One thing that was special about this home was the finished lower level, complete with a rec room, bar with wine fridge, pool table, full bathroom, and sauna! We listed it for $879,000 and it sold for $910,000, which was the highest sale in this neighborhood at that time!
