      • Downtown Shelton is celebrated for its wide assortment of restaurants and shopping. Between the restaurants and the shopping, downtown Shelton is a popular destination for residents to walk around, meet with friends, and feel part of the community
      • The Sports Center is a great place to take friends and little ones, and offers mini golf, ice skating, laser tag, bowling, batting cages and other indoor/outdoor activities
      • A third of the town is bordered by the Housatonic River, to the north and east
      • There are many shops and restaurants on Bridgeport Ave, a huge shopping center spanning almost two miles
      • The Huntington Green is another smaller shopping plaza
      • For those that love the outdoors, the Housatonic River and Trap Falls Reservoir provide scenic views as well as a network of hiking trails. In addition, from smaller dog parks to vast state parks, and even the local golf club, there is no shortage of open space in town. Indian Well State Park is a great place to hike along the Housatonic River
      • The town was founded by English settlers in 1639, and is rich with Colonial history. Its well-known Huntington Center Historic District is home to multiple properties dating back to the early 1700’s
